Ellie Adria Smallwood is a 13 year old actor and singer who lives in Southern California. She has been acting in children's theater for several years and has participated in many productions, including acting as Sandy in "Grease" for Acting Academy for Kids in Laguna Niguel), Annie in "Annie" at Ovations Performing Arts in Mission Viejo, and Mary Poppins in "Mary Poppins" at the Performer's Academy in Lake Forest. Ellie has also appeared in several films including a Stefan Benz music video and a foster youth commercial story for the non-profit Together We Rise. Recently, Ellie has been invited to act on larger community theater stages with all adult casts: she starred as Young Violet in "Violet" and Arty in "Lost in Yonkers" for the Costa Mesa Playhouse. Her current projects include the role of Belle in "Disenchanted" for the Laguna Playhouse where she is a conservatory member and Linus in Arts and Learning Conservatory's "A Charlie Brown Christmas". Her acting and singing crafts have been enhanced by regular mentorship classes from Joy Lober Anderson and a variety of Broadway and Tony-award winning stars at the Broadway Mentors Program. When she is not acting or singing showtunes loudly in her room, Ellie is navigating the mystifying world of 7th grade middle school math and playing with her new pug dog Peggy (named, of course, after the "Hamilton" character).
